digitalizzazione-registro-stato-civile-thiene_1

Geared towards novice to intermediate genealogists, this two-part workshop utilizes immigration records, civil documents, and church records to help you build a family tree. The second part covers methods of finding and interpreting ship manifests to locate Italian ancestral immigrants that arrived in the U.S. from the 1890s to the 1950s.

Part 1: two-hour in-class workshop on acquiring documents relevant to families that emigrated from Southern Italy to the U.S.
Part 2: two-hour on-line seminar on finding and interpreting Italian-centric ship manifests to augment your research. Learn to correctly interpret manifests from the Ellis Island era while exploring how these manifests tie to the historical aspects of U.S. immigration.

No knowledge of Italian is needed.

Teacher: Bill Cellini, Jr. has 30 years of experience working with, translating, and interpreting Italian genealogical vital records in the United States and in Italy.
