exhibit> Renzo Piano Building Workshop: Le Fil Rouge

Academy Museum of Motion Pictures / Renzo Piano Building Workshop + Gensler © Nic Lehoux

For the past fifty years, Renzo Piano has redefined architectural practice, transforming it into a participatory and harmonious experience. This approach dissolves disciplinary boundaries, merging the acts of imagining, designing, calculating, and building into what is now a world-renowned atelier: the Renzo Piano Building Workshop.

Our new exhibition, “Renzo Piano Building Workshop: Le Fil Rouge, offers an in-depth look at key projects that shape RPBW’s work. Designed as a lightweight, modular structure, the display minimizes energy and waste. Visitors will feel like they are turning the pages of a book, with each panel illustrating a significant chapter in the RPBW story, including iconic projects such as the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the New York Times Building, and the Rome Auditorium.

On view from September 13 through December 10, 2024 by appointment | please write to desk.iicla@esteri.it to schedule your visit.
