  • Emanuele Amendola

    Emanuele Amendola joined the Italian Foreign Service in 2014. He served in Rome, Italy, as Cultural Attaché between 2014 and 2017, coordinating cultural programs for the 83 Italian Cultural Institutes part of the global Italian diplomatic network. Theatre, exhibitions, and concerts as well as language courses and incentives for exchange programs were among the most important aspects of such activity. Starting April 2017, he was appointed as Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Washington DC, where he organized cultural services and events promoting Italian arts, heritage and language, and fostered partnerships between Italian and American cultural institutions. He started his tenure at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles in January 2022.

    Prior to joining the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Amendola graduated in Classics at the University College of London, in the United Kingdom.
