Presented by the Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association and Medical Staff, Robin Trento will offer a virutal tour through local museums exhibiting exemplary Italian paintings from the 1300s through 1700s. The illustrated discussion will focus on these 500 years of artistic mastery, tracing the innovations and developments that brought Italy to the forefront of painting production and deeply influenced artists worldwide. In combining two delectable art forms, reference will also be made to regional dishes emerging from these areas where innovation and artistry thrived both in pictorial and culinary arenas in this land of boundless creativity.
Robin Trento has worked with the in Getty Museum Department of Education since 1989, presenting collections to the public, and has taught numererous culinary courses in museums throughout Los Angeles, pairing cooking lessons with art exhibitions. Ms. Trento is co-director of Art Muse Los Angeles, offering personalized tours of museums, art galleries, artists’ studios and provate collections throughout Los Angeles.
Following the Q & A session and intermission with light refreshments, a leading film on the life and works of a prominent Renaissance artist will be shown.
