Creole-Italian: Sicilian Immigrants and the Shaping of New Orleans Food Culture | World Week of Italian Cuisine

Justin A. Nystrom, Associate Professor of History at Loyola University in New Orleans, will present his book (The University of Georgia Press, 2018) in New Orleans on November 21 and in Los Angeles on December 5. The book investigates how generations of Sicilian immigrants have flavored creole cuisine.

Special spotlight on prosecco DOCG wine from the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene that have just officially become Italy’s 55th UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Organized by the IIC, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy of Los Angeles and Houston and the American Italian Cultural Center.
