The Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles is hiring by open competition 1 Administrative Collaborator to join our Accounting-Cultural Events-Translation Team. Applications must be prepared as indicated in the notice of employment which we invite you to read carefully. The notice and the application form are available in Italian only. About Us

The Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) in Los Angeles, part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Government, promotes Italian culture in the United States through various cultural services and events.

We Offer

Responsibilities

  • Event Management: Oversee events’ budgets, logistics, venue preparation (including content development, catering, and audiovisual equipment). Serve as the main contact for vendors, contractors, and attendees, maintaining clear communications. Address and resolve issues during events to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Exhibit Management: Ensure timely execution and installation of rotating exhibits in the Institute’s art gallery.
  • Project Management: Handle multiple tasks and projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing environments.
  • Collaboration: Develop and manage timelines and action plans with team members, partners, and vendors.
  • Other Duties: Translations (Italian/English); ensuring budgets requirements are met in collaboration with our Accounting Department; basic communication management in coordination with the Press Office.

Job Details

  • Type: Full-time
  • Pay: Approx. 80,000.00 USD
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, totaling 36 hours per week. This position might require atypical working hours (i.e.: evenings and weekends according to the events’ calendar).
  • Location: Los Angeles (Westwood)
  • Start Date: Fall 2024 (selection in September 2024)
