The Fellini Brand: Marketing Appropriations and the Fellini Name

On the occasione of the celebrations Federico Fellini 100th anniversary, this presentation by Dr. Rebecca Bauman (FIT/SUNY) will explore how the genius of Federico Fellini and his influence on both Italian cinema and Modern Italy has evolved not only as a “brand” within the Italian peninsula both also globally.

Dr. Rebecca Bauman is Associate Professor of Italian at the Fashion Institute of Technology, SUNY, where she also teaches in the Department of Film and Media. She has authored numerous articles, essays, and book reviews on Italian cinema, film melodrama, masculinity and fashion in contemporary film, and mafia studies. She is currently the Film and Digital Media Reviews editor for Italian American Review and chair of Columbia University’s Seminar in Modern Italy.
