On the occasion of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, the Consulate General of Italy, the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, and the 21st annual Los Angeles, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival invite you to a special screening of ANNA – The Untold Story (Italy, 2025, 110’) followed by a conversation with director, screenwriter, and actress Monica Guerritore, moderated by producer Raffaella De Laurentiis.

ANNA – The Untold Story is the first feature film dedicated to the legendary Anna Magnani, a woman who defied convention and became one of the most powerful and beloved actresses in cinema history. Set on the night of her 1956 Academy Award win for The Rose Tattoo, the film follows Anna wandering through Rome awaiting the news, reflecting on her life, her talent, her struggles, and her enduring love for Roberto Rossellini.

Written, directed, and performed by Monica Guerritore, ANNA offers an intimate portrait of a woman who fought to defend her authenticity and artistic voice — revealing the strength and vulnerability behind the icon.

This screening is presented as part of the 21st Los Angeles, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival, held in Hollywood from March 8–14, 2026. With screenings centered at the TCL Chinese Theatre and special events across the city, the Festival celebrates Italian excellence during Awards Season.
