On the occasion of the 16th annual Italian Language Week in the World with the theme of Italian and Creativity: Brands and Traditions, Fashion and Design, the IIC proposes a presentation of the book Paola Masino: un album di vestiti, memorie e sogni (Paola Masino: A Sketchbook of Outfits, Memories and Dreams) published by Elliot edizioni in 2015.
In this book of memories, until today unedited and secret, the writer Paola Masino constructs a fresco of the epoch: the divine Twenties and Thirties.
Marinella Mascia Galateria, Modern and Contemporary Literature Professor at La Sapienza Univeristy in Rome and editor of the book, will present its contents through the development of Italian fashion in the first decades of the Twentieth Century.
Professor Lucia Re, Director of Undergraduate Studies at UCLA in Italian and Gender studies, will introduce the event.
RSVP mandatory.
