A selection of works by Alex Folla and Elena Trailina created with the same painting and gold leaf techniques will pay homage to the Renaissance artist Giovanni di Paolo.
Unknown Monk was organized in collaboration with the J. Paul Getty Museum on the occasion of The Shimmer of Gold: Giovanni di Paolo in Renaissance Siena, a parallel exhibit on view at the Getty Center in Los Angeles from October 12, 2016, which includes a very important altar piece by Di Paolo, recently restored by the prestigious Californian museum.
The two exchibits will be enriched by an interactive workshop, organized in collaboration with Lingua Viva, which will be held October 15th at the IIC on the occasion of the 16th Week of Italian Language in the World. During the event, the artists Alex Folla and Elena Trailina will illustrate the analogies between creating a fresco and making a pizza.
