THE AGE OF BRONZE

On the occasion of the J. Paul Getty Museum’s exhibition Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenistic World, the IIC will host a special talk by Dr. Barbara Arbeid, Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Florence, one of the exhibition’s lending institutions. On view in the IIC gallery panels with the reproduction casts made by the Fonderia Artistica Ferdinando Marinelli, a Florentine Foundry that keeps alive age-old casting techniques, the same that were used by the Etruscans, the Greeks, the Romans as well as the great Renaissance artists.
