meeting > Author Donatella Di Pietrantonio

Donatella Di Pietrantonio, one of the most loved writers of contemporary Italian literature, will be visiting the Department of French and Italian at the University of Southern California and the Donato Center for Global Languages and Translation Studies at California State University Long Beach.

Winner of the the John Fante Opera Prima Prize in 2012 with her debut novel Mia madre è un fiume (2011; My mother is a River, 2015) and of the Campiello and the Naples Prizes with L’Arminuta (2017; A Girl Returned, 2019), she will be presenting her latest novel Borgo Sud (2020; A Sister’s Story 2022), a finalist for the 2021 Strega Prize.
