Celebrated Italian filmmaker Marco Bellocchio (Fists in the Pocket, 1965) steps behind the camera with The Traitor (2019, 145 min.), his ultra-widescreen true story of the Sicilian Mafia and its legendary mobster Tommaso Buscetta.
The film, presented by Sony Pictures Classics and Luce Cinecittà on the occasion of Cinema Italian Style 2019 as part of AFI Fest 2019, is Italy’s official submission for the international feature film category of Oscar 2020 and will be screened at the TCL Chinese on November 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
