Make Music Day is an international free celebration of music that began in 1982 in France and today is held on the same day in 1000 cities in 120 countries around the world. This year the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles will again participate in the festivities with a live concert by Italian vocalist Chiara Galiazzo.
Chiara will kick off her new tour “Un’estate fa” in Los Angeles celebrating the start of Summer and Make Music Day with a special showcase at the Institute. Performing a mix of Italian and international classics, alongside her most popular tunes, Chiara will take us on a musical journey inspired by the sweet nostalgia of the summers of our youth and the anticipation of those yet to come.

Born in Padua in 1986, Chiara Galiazzo rose to prominence winning the music television competition X Factor 2012 under the guidance of Morgan. She presented the unpublished “Due respiri” written by Eros Ramazzotti and Luca Chiaravalli.
Chiara also joined three Sanremo Festivals: in 2013 with “L’esperienza dell’amore” / “Il futuro che sarà”; in 2015 with “Straordinario” by Ermal Meta; in 2017 with “Nessun posto è casa mia. Since her first two albums, “Un posto nel mondo” (2013) and “Un giorno di sole”(2014), Chiara has achieved a great success, in particular the album “Nessun posto è casa mia”, produced by Mauro Pagani, was awarded the Lunezia Prize for musical and literary merit.
Her most recent works include the album “Bonsai – come fare le cose grandi in piccolo” released in July 2020, a collaboration with the composer Andrea Guerra for the Rai soundtrack of “Un passo dal cielo” and the show “Ti meriti un amore” with the jazz pianist Sade Mangiaracina at the Blue Note in Milan.
On May 27, 2022, Chiara released her new single, her personal reinterpretation of the classic “Un’estate fa” which will be followed by the homonymous summer tour.
