Dennita Sewell: The Italian Impact on Contemporary Fashion

On the occasion of the 16th annual Italian Language Week in the World with the theme of Italian and Creativity: Brands and Traditions, Fashion and Design, Dennita Sewell, Fashion Curator at the  Phoenix Art Museum, will hold a special presentation on the Italian impact in contemporary fashion.

Fashion news this season is focused on the many changes in designers of top fashion houses. This illustrated slide lecture looks at the International fashion scene and the Italians who are in leading positions across the fashion industry. Italian designers are leading some of the top houses that play a significant role in establishing fashion trends. This lecture will survey some of those houses and look at the possible outcomes.
