49th Annual Italian-American Studies Association Congress

The Italian-American Studies Association (IASA) will dedicate this year’s conference to the depiction of Italian-Americans in media. It will also celebrate the 15th anniversary of the George L. Graziado Center for Italian Studies at California State University, Long Beach California State University, Long Beach (CSULB).

The three day conference will kick-off on November 3  with the Mark Cangiano Dinner in Honor of the Italian American Studies Association Conference and the 15th Anniversary of the George L. Graziado Center with a key note address of Louisa Ermelino, writer journalist and Vice President and Reviews Director at Publishers Weekly at the Karl Anatol Center. Ms. Ermelino will present From Sinatra to Gaga: Seventy Years of Italian Americans Center Stage and Behind the Scenes in Art, Music, Theater, Literature and Sports. The wine and cheese reception, keynote address and buffet dinner are free and open to the public while the other two conference days include a fee.
