Join us for a special preview of our new exhibit CARLO RAMBALDI: DREAMING THE COSMOS, curated by Cristina Lippolis Rambaldi, on the occasion of the forthcoming recognition of the Italian master on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Known worldwide for creating some of cinema’s most iconic creatures — and winner of three Academy Awards for King Kong, Alien, and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial — Rambaldi was also a painter, sculptor, designer, and tireless explorer of possible worlds.
Dreaming the Cosmos brings this lesser-known side of his work to the foreground through paintings from the Atmosfere Spaziali series, alongside sculptures and key materials from his career, including his three Academy Award statuettes and the E.T. animatronic head crafted to celebrate Rambaldi’s centennial.
Moving beyond the creatures that made him famous, the exhibition explores the wider scope of Rambaldi’s artistic research and his enduring interest in the relationship between humanity, technology, matter, and the future.
