On the occasion of Italian Design Day and the Day of Made in Italy 2025, join us for a special conversation on how design and architecture can serve as a catalyst for tackling social inequalities, through sustainable responses to climate change, fostering inclusive communities, and expanding access to resources.
This year’s program highlights Milan’s Salone del Mobile, the world’s leading international design fair and a global showcase for creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation. Marco Sabetta, General Manager of the Salone, will share how the fair has become not only a platform for excellence but also a driver of dialogue on how design can shape a more equitable future.
In dialogue with him will be Elena Manferdini, Principal of Atelier Manferdini and Graduate Program Chair at SCI-Arc, and Patrick Tighe, FAIA Principal of Patrick Tighe Architecture, who will bring perspectives from the Los Angeles’ design and architecture scene. The conversation will be moderated by Carlo Caccavale, Hon. AIA|LA Executive Director of the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles.
