MEET Italy: The Great Investors’ Debate

MEET ITALY will host a special event in co-operation with the American Association of Individual Investors. Organized by MEET Italy and the IIC in collaboration with Pepperdine University.

Join us for a conversation with a team of Finance Professors from Pepperdine University to learn about timely stock market dynamics.

A high-level round table will see four Professors from the Graziadio School of Business, Pepperdine University, engage in dialogues over the issue of market timing versus buy and hold.

Prof. Accomazzo, the moderator of the panel, will be joined by Prof. Kownatzki, Prof. Ing and Prof. Manfre in a 360-degree discussion on potential market inefficiencies and related empirical evidence.

The Pepperdine team will discuss, among others, elements such as:
Risk premia versus behavioral expectations
Micro-efficiency versus macro-inefficiency
Time varying nature of expected returns
Empirical evidence of efficiency/inefficiency from different approaches

A clearer understanding of market inefficiency and how practically exploitable such value dislocations may be for different classes of investors is a key requirement for proper construction of investment portfolios and trading strategies.

Attend and learn:

1. Evidence and nature of market inefficiency

2. Academic and empirical research on different strategic approaches

3. Tactical versus Strategic portfolios

This event has a cover charge of $5 payable at the event. Please make sure to RSVP via the MEET Italy website to take advantage of the discounted rate.

By invitation only.
