The Comitato Nazionale Italiano Musica (CIDIM), a member of UNESCO’s International Music Council, presents Progetto Rode, an online musical project as part of the 2020 edition of Progetto Suono Italiano, promoted in collaboration with Suonare News magazine.
Progetto Rode, conceived by Italian violinist Davide Alogna, features twenty-four distinguished Italian violinists, including Alogna himself, in self-recorded performances in their homes, of one of the 24 Caprices for Violin, Op. 22 by Pierre Rode. The performers are instructors in music conservatories and concertmasters with the great symphony orchestras of Italy and the world.
The performances can be viewed on CIDIM’s YouTube channel (links below). They are divided in four parts, each one consisting of six caprices.
