Ferruccio Farina, Director of the International Study Center Francesca da Rimini, presents his book Francesca Da Rimini Storia di un mito. Letteratura, arti visive e musica tra XIV E XXI secolo (Francesca Da Rimini History of a Myth. Literature, Visual Arts and Music between the 14th and the 21st centuries Maggioli Editore, 2019). Through literary and artistic materials never analyzed until now, the volume traces the history of Francesca’s myth which has fascinated and influenced Western culture’s poetry, theater, cinema, paintings, sculptures and music of more than a thousand artists from every continent, making her famous as an emblem of freedom and virtue.
