Discover the soul of Emilia-Romagna and the extraordinary legacy of Giuseppe Verdi through an evening where music, storytelling, and Italian culinary traditions come together.
Presented by the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, together with the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West, in collaboration with the Teatro Regio di Parma, the evening features an original theatrical experience. Under the artistic direction of Verdi Off and Imaginarium Creative Studio, an immersive solo performance starring Tony Award winner Joe Mantegna weaves together live narration, music, and video elements to reveal the man behind the legendary composer through the landscapes, memories, and flavors that shaped Verdi’s life.
Following the performance, the journey continues with a celebration of Parma’s rich cultural and gastronomic heritage, in collaboration with Parma Welcome and Parma Quality Restaurants, featuring guest chef Enrico Bergonzi, and highlighting the enduring connection between Italian music, culture, and culinary traditions.
