Italian Genealogy Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n

Geared towards novice to intermediate genealogists, this two-part workshop utilizes immigration records, civil documents, and church records to help you build a family tree.\u00a0 The second part covers methods of finding and interpreting ship manifests to locate Italian ancestral immigrants that arrived in the U.S. from the 1890s to the 1950s.<\/p>\n

Part 1<\/strong>: two-hour in-class workshop on acquiring documents relevant to families that emigrated from Southern Italy to the U.S.<\/p>\n

Part 2<\/strong>: two-hour on-line seminar on finding and interpreting Italian-centric ship manifests to augment your research.\u00a0 Learn to correctly interpret manifests from the Ellis Island era while exploring how these manifests tie to the historical aspects of U.S. immigration.<\/p>\n

No knowledge of Italian is needed. <\/em><\/p>\n

Teacher:<\/strong>\u00a0Bill Cellini, Jr.<\/em>\u00a0has 30 years of experience working with, translating, and interpreting Italian genealogical vital records in the United States and in Italy.<\/p>\n
