The reading hosted by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art LACMA was conceived as a trip to the storage of the Los Angeles museum to rediscover and focus attention on the work of Giambattista Tiepolo Apollo and Phaeton, currently not on display due to the expansion of the spaces of the museum functional to host the collections. Actor Jamie McShane – known for his roles in Sons of Anarchy, Southland, The Passage, Bloodline and in the film Mank directed by David Fincher – read the words written by Gabriele Tinti, poet, writer and art critic, whose verses inspired by Tiepolo’s masterpiece are the basis of this project on the border between art and poetry, created by LACMA with the contribution of the Culture and Art Foundation | Terzo Pilastro – International Foundation, and the collaboration of the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles.
