Fare Cinema 2022: Pasolini 100 A tribute to the centenary of the intellectual and director

To contribute to the celebrations of the centenary Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922 – 1975), the Farnesina has commissioned a series of videos from the Cineteca di Bologna, designed to introduce the screenings and exhibitions dedicated to Pasolini organized by Cultural Institutes, Italian Embassies and Consulates in cinemas around the world.

An unusual image of the multifaceted artist and his work emerges from cut scenes, together with interviews on sets and even testimonies of directors and intellectuals who recall and comment on his masterpieces. These precious archive materials are accompanied by a series of original video introductions to Pasolini’s filmography, by authors, actors, critics, and film historians.

On the occasion of Fare Cinema, a selection of these introductions is available to the audience of the Italiana Vimeo channel:

Roberto Chiesi presents Accattone

Riccardo Costantini presents Che cosa sono le nuvole?

Anna Masecchia presents Teorema

Emiliano Morreale presents Comizi d’amore

Marco Antonio Bazzocchi presents Appunti per un’Orestiade Africana
