Fare Cinema 2022  The new edition of the week dedicated to cinema and the promotion of the Italian film industry in the world.

From Monday, June 13, the fifth edition of Fare Cinema, the film festival launched in 2018 that includes a series of initiatives aimed at promoting the Italian cinema and film industry in the world; organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the network of Embassies, Consulates and Italian Institutes of Culture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, ANICA, Agenzia ICE, Istituto Luce – Cinecittà, Italian Film Commissions and Accademia del Cinema Italiano – David di Donatello Awards.

Again this year Fare Cinema offers varied content accessible for free online until June 19, available on italiana  and the MyMovies platform.

Italian Renaissance  is a series of conversations with creators representing the renewed attention devoted to contemporary Italian cinema by international festivals and specialized critics. Produced with Fondazione Cinema per Roma, the series is followed by short films by each of the directors involved.

The Accademia del Cinema Italiano and ANICA present Italian Screens  the five finalist titles in the category “Best Short Film” for the David di Donatello Awards 2022.

On the centenary Vittorio Gassman’s birth, a tribute is given to this emblematic figure of Italian cinema, with a specially produced interview with Alessandro Gassmann together with the documentary “I’m Gassman! Vittorio king of comedy” by Fabrizio Corallo.

Another important anniversary celebrated this year is the anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini: for the occasion, the Cineteca di Bologna has created Pasolini 100, a series of original video-introductions to Pasolini’s films.

Fare Cinema 2022: presenting Italian cinema in its various facets, thanks to a program that ranges from great directors of the past to artistic trends that have recently emerged, to the newest contemporary productions.
